Gardner Tennis

bob2 copyIn 1999, Bob Gardner moved from Upper Arlington to Granville and has been teaching in this area since then.  Bob and his wife, Sherry, have been married for 28 years and have 5 children.
The Gardner Tennis Program is the largest program in the area and the only complete indoor and outdoor program in Licking County.  With over 100 junior players, we can accommodate any age or ability to increase your tennis to be the best it can be !!
Bob grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio and was an Ohio High School State singles champion and even had a USTA sanctioned win over former world's #1 John McEnroe !!!
Bob graduated from Miami University on a full tennis scholarship and was a MAC singles and doubles champion and NCAA participant.

Bob has also been elected into the Miami University Athletic Hall of Fame in Division I for his accomplishments while at Miami.  It gives you the confidence that your child is getting instruction that is of the highest quality.
The Gardner Tennis Program has sent the only 2 players from Granville ever to have qualified in singles for the Ohio High School Championships:  John Gardner and Patrick Boyd.  Patrick also made 2 additional trips in doubles competition.

This past year we added 3 players who qualified to the State Championships.

Aaron Ruby and Cody and Connor Engstrom.
In the last 11 years, the Gardner Tennis Program has had 28 times that players have qualified out of the Sectionals and into the Districts.  Since we are in the Central Ohio Sectionals, to qualify out of the Sectionals is quite an accomplishment.  And 9 times our program has qualified players to the Ohio High School State Championships.
Our program stacks up favorably against programs in Columbus that have 3 - 4 times the population !
